Srinagar, October 2: It is a proved case that Government by adopting pick & choose had compulsorily retired lot of officers, who by giving a big lesson on the face of administration bounced back by the orders of Supreme Court.
Pertinent to mention here that failure of Govt speaks that, it never bothered to see that how many crore has been wasted by way of illegal litigations on the part of incompetant Chief Secretary, Law Secretary & other memebers of the time of so called high power committee, which recomended such cases under Art 226(2) in violation, which ultimately lost in Courts.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has reportedly asked not to post tainted officials at significant posts & has expressed concern over the corruption in government departments.
He has given clear directions that officials against whom cases have been registered shall not be given significant posting until they get a clean chit and if any official is found guilty action should be taken against him as per the rules.
Since Sinha took over as LG of Jammu and Kashmir, action has been taken against several officials.
Pertinent to mention here that hundreds of cases have been sent to different government departments for action on the basis of evidence collected but bosses preferred to sleep or delaying the process resulting in the anti-graft bodies having not taken any action against these officials involved in wrong doings.
