Ministry of AYUSH Government of India has conveyed its approval for upgradation of Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Akhnoor Jammu from the current 50 seats to 63 seats (including EWS).
Recently four Associated hospitals viz Govt Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu, Associated Hospital of Ayurvedic College at Akhnoor, Govt Unani Hospital, Shalteng Srinagar and Associated Hospital of Unani College Ganderbal Kashmir, of both Govt Ayurvedic Medical College and Govt Unani Medical College have been upgraded to 60 beds from the current 50 beds.
Director ISM, Dr Mohan Singh informed that all the gaps with regard to infrastructure development at Akhnoor have been fulfilled and pending Rs 4.61 Crore have been released and 90% of construction work of both college and hospital blocks has been completed.
