Uma Bharti tests positive for COVID-19, goes into self-quarantine in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Uma Bharti has tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to Twitter, the BJP national vice president said she was positive for the novel coronavirus and appealed to those in close contact with her to get tested too.

Bharati had gone for a trip in the Himalayas after which she called for a team of people to test for the coronavirus on suffering from mild fever for three days. “I followed all the COVID protocol and social distancing norms in the Himalayas, yet I have turned coronavirus positive,” she said in a Twitter post.
