The anti-terror operation is taking place in Khonmoh area in Srinagar.
Srinagar: An encounter broke out between terrorists and the security forces at the Khanmoh area in Srinagar on Monday. A joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have launched a cordon and search operation.
Earlier on Sunday, an improvised explosive device (IED) was detected and neutralised between Sugan and Turkhwangam security forces in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
