It’s our responsibility to show gratitude toward all those people who are
contributing something good to society directly or indirectly.
Kathua is famous for many things. Many political leaders, spokesmen, and many other famous
personalities. It is also famous for good academics as well. Arun Pathak who is well known for
his good teaching in Mathematics. The students who studied with him have reached a higher
rank. Many students are doctors, engineers, professors, etc. He is also recognized for social
welfare. When he was posted as a Principal in Govt. girls higher secondary school kathua he
did a tremendous amount of work. In that time the situation of the higher secondary was not
good but after his posting there he did change the overall look of that school. Those students
who did not buy books, he used to donate books, shoes, even uniforms as well. The concept of
mediation among students recognized by him at that time in school.
One of his students said to KRT News, ” In morning prayer he told us when I was a student, I
was not a disciplined child, even I never thought I could become a principle because of my
elvish behavior and also not good in primary education but when I work hard I got good
command on education. You all could get what you want to get but for that, you have to work
hard because there isn’t a shortcut for success”.
Another student of his who is an advocate in kathua said, ” He is very cool and comm nature.
Never got angry for any reason. When I was in 12th class, my math subject was very weak, I did
not feel like reading at all, but because of his motivation, I topped in my math and also in the
class. One thing is famous for him is that he never holds the book in his hand, the way for
teaching is different from others”.
How well the student will perform in his class, It depends on what kind of teachers he has got.
Like Arun Pathak who always tries to work hard on weak students who were neglected. He also
donated money for charity and helped poor people. After his retirement, he is still on the same
path of teaching students. Like him, many other academicians who are doing fabulous jobs in
the education field including Rakesh Jasrotia, Sanjay sehgal , Ramesh Ghaloch, Janak Singh,
are only a few names in this list but there are many others who are working for a society
without showing off. It’s our responsibility to show gratitude toward all those people who are
