A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force trooper committed suicide.
Srinagar, July 27: A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper committed suicide by firing himself from his own service rifle in the Rambagh area of Srinagar district on Monday morning.
Official sources told that the CRPF trooper posted at Group Center Rambagh shoot himself with his own service rifle and died on spot.
He has been identified as Head constable Pintoo Mondal. He is from West Bengal. A police officer confirmed the incident and said that it was not immediately known as to why the trooper took the extreme step. He said investigations are underway in this regard.
